What Do You Have To Do To Be A Fireman?

My Uncle Is A Fireman & He Said It Is Hard To Find Places Where There Taking on/Employing Fireman,
Is There Any College Classes You Can Do Thatll Make You More Eligible & More Likely To Get This Job?

My dad is a retained fireman and you have to pass criteria such as basic maths, english and IT skills plus the fitness side of things. l expect for full time it is more rigorous or may be the same!

go to the hampshire fire and rescue homepage.. they are recruiting as from dec 08.

If this really is an ambition do not take the word of your uncle as gospel.

Write to your County fire service and tell them what your ambition is, Do not forget to include your CV because l am pretty sure there will be a minimum educational standard.
If you have not got a CV yet there are plenty of web sites with info on how to write one.
