This past week l had my friend and her little brother (age 12) over at my house. While my friend and l went to watch a movie, l let her little brother use my computer. l guess l left my Debit card somewhere near him because he ordered a subscription to a porn site. l found this out the next day when l recieve an e-mail saying l joined and that if l do not cancel within the next day l will be billed 39.96.

l cancelled it that same day and got confirmation. Unknowningly when he signed up for that site, he signed up for 2...brands? So supposedly l only cancelled one. l get billed 39.96, and while the transaction is still pending l e-mail my bank telling them it is unauthorized. They tell me l need to wait for it to go thru till l can make a claim.

Once it went thru, l called and they said they will be sending me a form in the mail for me to fill out.

While 40 bucks might not seem a big deal, this transaction is going to cost me more. Because of that, the pending transaction l had from Paypal did not go thru and l got an NSF charge - $34. and it is going to hit me again because l do not get paid till friday. not to mention because of the fact that I will be hitting -68, I will also probably be overdrafting a couple more times.

My bank said if they find it to be true, that it is unauthorized, they will reverse the 40.00 plus all overdraft charges, if they would've gone thru anyway. Is there a chance for this claim to be approved? I am scared because of my I.P. address being my actual one, and also l can not charge my friend for all the costs for personal reasons -_-

Yes, l learned my lesson -_-

l think from now on for the most part I am going to carry mostly cash anyway. l get overdrafted frequently, so l think once everything finishes I will stick to carrying cash. Thanks.
My Bank is WaMu

If your bank has any credibility they will take care of this for you. You might want to start using cash instead of debit cards and credit cards. Or if you must then place them in a secure place where no one has access to them. You have to take responsibility for your actions here. You should never have left a debit card within reach of a teen.
