You know how they always give you something if you sign up for a credit card? $15 discount at Sears, a free T-shirt, a free pizza... I've seen all kinds of stuff. I am going to get a Credit Card (Visa l think) but l figure l should get some free promotional goodie for it.

BTW: l pay the full balance on my credit cards every month, without exception, and l have never been late. That is why l do not care about APY and things like that.

Get a credit card because it has a low interest rate, or no annual fee. That will more than pay for a pizza in the long run.

What you really should be looking at is the Fees and Interest rates that they are charging you. You want a card with the lowest fees and interest rates. If you must get one with a Freebie you need to look at what that ''freebie'' is going to cost you..

For example if the card that has a $15 discount at Sears. If there is an annual fee on that card of $25, that $15 discount has just cost you $25 and you have lost $10.
