am very interested in social science and I am good at all of my subjects but I am the kind of person that does not like to be told what to do. l do not wanna work under anyone. l really wanna help people l am very good at researching. Now I am confused about what kind of career should choose. l also have a plan on going back to my country later in life temporarily to open a huge children and women is shelter. l probably would need a lot of money for that. Now can someone plz help me and think of a career that is most suitable for me. thank you.

Something in the public sector or a union job, at least you will have rights. Teacher is recession proof and you can move wherever you want. Good luck!

Sorry to tell u but ''helping people'' for a living is not the best way not to work for someone. Helping people means u work for those people. at a minimum.

You should try & get a job with a social service organization. You will do lots of research & grant applications. It is a lot of work but can be very rewarding. But u will work for someone & they will expect a lot out of you.

As far as u goal of the womans & children is shelter. l hope one day u achieve ur goal!!

You could be the next 'Mother Theresa, follow the advise below and hook up with some social agency,whether private or public, and take it from that.
