Can anyone tell me how old this house looks, maybe give me a guess at what year it may have been built?

l would guess in the 60 is or around there. You can probably go to titles and deeds at your local tax commissioners office and find out the exact year.

No you can not. The most accurate public information you can gather is from the assessors office in the county or city the house is located in. Good luck!

You can go down to your local court house and look up the title and the deed section and about the plat of land that it is on and that should give you a good idea of when the house was built or remodeled.

It looks almost just like mine and mine was built in 1930.

l was going to guess 1927 or thereabouts. You want accurate you need the county tax assesor.

The house l grew up in was build in 1953 & that home looks like it was built well before that. It obviously has been updated (newer windows, siding, etc. & everything looks straight on it.

When l was buying a home, everyone (real estate agents, etc.) thought it was newer than it is. It was actually built in 1910 (main floor interior walls r drywall over plaster. Many of the windows still have rope weights (some windows were upgraded long ago). Many homes r still around that were in pictures l found at our library from 1877. The main streets in my neighborhood were already there then.

Look on the electical box either inside the closet in the house, or on the outdoor patio.. If box is on the back patio, it will be older than 1948, depending on if the house had original pillars and porch altered, the house would have been built in the early to mid 1930's.

Log onto your county tax assessors property search and input the address and it should read what year it is if it was recorded back then.
