Why are credit card fees NOT REGULATED in Canada

It seems to me they can pretty well do what they like and there is not much you can do about it.

If you are late on a payment they high your percentage of a low credit card payment (ie 10 to 11 percent) to 16 percent or 19 percnet....and STILL charge you late fees or over the top fees on top.It is insane what they get away with.

Why does not the government regulate them??

OTHER COUNTRIES pay much lower rates.

If anyone is outside of Canada I'd like to hear what your rates are.

they are not regulated anywhere thats why those companies want everyone to have a credit card because they know they can charge you what ever they feel like especially when you are in bad situation financially which is there favorit

just keep your debt to minimum and pay on time or dont aquire extra debt thats hard to control.
