Looking at homes and condos/townhomes. Have found some very reasonable prices for both but condos seem to be cheaper than homes by an average of 25 to 30 thousand dollars.

l do not like condos for an investment. if you want to live in the condo, that is a different matter. if you want an investment property, go for the conventional house. a house appreciates faster and better.
at the present time, we have not reach the bottom yet. when that will be is any body is guess. good luck

If condos are popular in the area they could be a good investment. The slump will eventually turn around. If there is a demand than they will become a good investment.
