Yes you can although with the economy in the mess it is in right now, lending is very tight these days and banks are not wanting to lend money out.

There is a good reason why the bank wo not extend your credit - You're a bad credit risk.

Do yourself a favour and do not get any more credit. Pay off what you already owe and live within your means.

You may be able to but it would be unwise. Now is a good time to pay down debt. Spend less than you earn and put part of the difference into a savings account.

the one bank just wants to limit their exposure to you. that does not mean that other banks do not think that you're not a good credit risk. the first bank just is not comfortable knowing that if you chose to, you could just ring go on a shopping spree and leave them on the hook for more than you make in a year.
