l am expecting a baby dec 16 ... as long as she is born before the end of the year will she still count as a qualifying child for earned income credit

Yep! Mine was born Dec 8 and we claimed him. Tax laws state as long as the baby is born before Dec 31. Now just hope you do not go overdue!!!!
