My mother and her partner said they buy a house for us out of their super fund! We had to take it out as a lease agreement for the first year-due to the way it was set up.Everything went as planned, we were paying it off happily,until my husband is mine job crashed(along with the industry).We have missed two payments but are able to make them up within the next week. Mum is worried we can not pay properly now, because the job he got does not pay nearly as well as the mining one he had. In 3 months the loan moves into a loan agreement instead of a lease agreement, they lend us the money for the house legally and have given us first option to buy, legally. However if their super fund goes bad-they will not be able to lend us the money. Can we then go to a bank(he will have a mining job again by then, and I will be working nursing full time)even with our previous bad credit rating, and have a fair chance of getting the loan for the house ourselves? or because we've got a bad credit rating do we have no chance of getting a loan? I've expressed this badly, but if there is an Australian business man/woman out there who understands finance, can they please email me, so we could understand our options????Please! Or else we're screwed.
