He is the person who puts the person to sleep right before surgery. It is complicated because people need different amount of chemicals in their body to sustain a numb like state of body. Pay is very good, 120,000 for experienced people in metro areas as well as none metro. Around 8 years for study but im not sure about the educational part.

they are in charge of putting people to sleep for operations. They get 60,000(probably more). You have to stay throughout the surgery so if you cant handle blood and things like that this is not for you

A registered nurse & Anesthetist r separate professions requiring separate licenses. But one could get both licenses. Most colleges offer nursing courses. After completing nursing courses, u have to pass an exam & internship to obtain a license. As to the Anesthetist, u have to enroll in medical studies similar to becoming a doctor & takes more time & effort to be certified than the registered nurse. Anesthetist definitely talks to patients to put them at ease prior to the surgery, & also to find out allergies & other specific info of the patients to make sure proper drugs to use. It is an important & necessary procedure in surgeries. An incompetent anasthetist could kill a patient by giving too much thereby the patient never wakes up after the surgery, or giving too little where the patient suffers in pain throughout the surgery.

A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is a registered nurse with at least a year is critical care experience, who has taken a masters in anesthesiology. The program length varies depending on the school, but generally takes up to two more years (after ur 4 year nursing degree).

Note the difference: one is a nurse anesthetist, the other is an anesthesiologist.

Pay for the CRNA starts at about 90,000 upwards for years of experience.

Anesthesiologists make much much more.
