l am crazy sick. With what l do not know. Possibly a second round of chicken pox. l had to go home from work today l was so dizzy and feverish. l called in sick for tomorrow, and my manager tells me l have to find the person to cover my shift. Do l have to? Or is it up to work to do that?
They do this all the time. And then l feel bad for calling people.

Legally you do not HAVE to, but if you have a friend who could use some extra time...

It is considerate to get someone to cover for you, after all your work place is a business. l suggest to try to get someone to cover for you and return the favor when he or she needs it. If you can not it is ultimately up to the business to carry on without you. l would still tell my boss that it wo not happen again but it is up to you to try and have someone ready to replace you in an emergency. Keep in mind shmemado, you could lose your job if this happens to often.
