l dont understand USPS is government organization or private corporation, what benefits of sending goods over USPS comparing to private companies if l need to send around short ton of goods?

The USPS is quasi private, cheaper, slower and makes more errors.

Government organization. Federal. That is why stealing mail is a federal offense.

USPS is a function of the US government. However, there are other shipping options, particulary overseas, so you need to do some comparison shopping.
