was trading at over a $100 just a few months back and now is in the low twenties/teens.Time to buy?

It depends on your time horizon. l would not unless it is just for a trade. The world growth story is over for now. If it is for am investment then find a shipping stock with a better dividend/yield. Diana shipping (dsx), Frontline (fro), and (EXM) all are high yielding.

People said the same thing when it was at 50 & had lost half its value. It continued to go down. People said the same thing when it was at 33 & had lost two thirds its value. It continued to go down. Look at the fake bottoms it had in the fifties & the thirties.

l would not touch it until it breaks through 40 going up. Or at least 27.

Disclaimer. l am out of DRYS now but l made a 400% return in three months on my put options on DRYS watching it go down.

l have watched & played DRYS for about 4 years. l have been in it, & out of it. Drys presently charts as overbought. It does appear to be a good trading stock if u r into trading. The world economy has slowed dramatically, resulting in the slowing of transporting goods. We r near the end of this bear market, & we will see one more movement over the next 18 months where things will appear rosy. When this happens, a good positive move in DRYS should result. Short term buy on the dips, & sell on the peaks.

The stock market is in turmoil. Even stocks with good technicals are getting hit. September and Oct tend to be particularly bad months, but with the way the market has been tanking, it is anyone is guess when the tanking will stop.
